School’s Not Out with ALFA
As part of its community outreach goals, All Food Asia, Inc. (ALFA) recently collaborated with Maguikay Elementary School for a Brigada Eskwela event. Company employees gladly spent their time painting and cleaning to get the school in tip-top shape for its pupils.
What is Brigada Eskwela?
Brigada Eskwela is a national initiative led by the Department of Education (DepEd) that mobilizes the community to work together in repairing and cleaning up public elementary and secondary schools. It brings together school personnel, parents, alumni, non-government organizations, and various other individuals who wish to volunteer their time and efforts to a good cause. Companies such as ALFA often partner with DepEd in these initiatives in order to give back to the community that nurtures their employees and customers alike.
A New Way of Doing Business
More and more organizations these days are becoming aware of the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Through these programs, businesses ensure that they can have a positive impact on the environment as well as the community that they operate in. There are many ways by which companies can be socially responsible, and engaging in activities such as the Brigada Eskwela is merely one of them. Other examples of CSR activities include feeding programs, scholarships, tree planting drives, equality marches, etc.
ALFA Gives Back
ALFA understands how crucial it is for a business to be aware of its responsibility to society. Participating in great programs like Brigada Eskwela allows it to contribute to the continued development and well-being of the young minds that will someday lead the country. The company’s commitment to social responsibility mirrors its commitment to providing quality products to its customers across the nation. With ALFA, customers can be sure that they will receive nothing but the best products and services, along with the company’s drive to help make the world a better place for future generations.
